Kristen Stewart Ties the Knot: A Look at Her Love Story with Dylan Meyer

Congratulations are in order for Kristen Stewart, who has tied the knot with her longtime fiancée, screenwriter Dylan Meyer. Known for keeping her private life under wraps, the Twilight star hasn’t made any social media announcements, but TMZ captured photos of the couple at a courthouse obtaining their marriage license.

The couple, engaged for nearly four years, exchanged vows at their Los Angeles home, as reported by TMZ.

Despite her preference for privacy, Kristen has occasionally opened up about her relationship with Dylan. In 2019, she told The Howard Stern Show, “The day that I met her, it was like all bets were off.”

The Journey of Their Relationship

Kristen first crossed paths with Dylan on a movie set in 2013, but their connection blossomed six years later at a mutual friend’s birthday celebration. Kristen recalled wondering, “Where have you been, and why have I not known you?”

The exact start date of their dating is unclear, but they made their relationship Instagram official on October 27, 2019. Dylan posted a picture of them kissing with the caption, “Find me under the covers hiding from the happiness police. 🖤.”

When Howard Stern inquired about her feelings, Kristen confirmed she was in love and expressed her eagerness to propose, saying, “I can’t f—ing wait” and believed “good things happen fast.” Kristen was also the first to say “I love you,” doing so in a spontaneous moment at a bar.

Though Kristen avoids social media, she used Dylan’s Instagram in September 2020 to urge people to vote, with Dylan noting, “I turned the mic over to Kristen because she had some things to say and doesn’t have her own account.”

In a November 2021 interview with Stern, Kristen announced her engagement, sharing her thoughts on traditional roles in proposals. She humorously commented on wanting to be proposed to, and Dylan made it happen in a “f—ing so cute” way.

Wedding Plans and Celebrations

On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Kristen mentioned her desire for a “big party or something” for their wedding. She mused about possibly eloping over a weekend and celebrating with friends afterward, admitting she’s not a planner.

Dylan accompanied Kristen on the red carpet when she was nominated for best actress for her role in Spencer. During another appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Kristen shared her wish for Guy Fieri to officiate their wedding, jokingly saying they might just marry each other and tell Guy he was there in spirit.

In a Rolling Stone interview, Kristen revealed plans to have children with Dylan, discussing ideas of carrying each other’s embryos. “I don’t know what my family’s going to look like, but there’s no f—ing way that I don’t start acquiring kids,” she said, expressing her desire to have a child soon.

For Kristen’s birthday, Dylan posted a heartfelt message on Instagram, celebrating her as her “favorite person on planet earth” and expressing her love and admiration.

The couple ultimately wed at home, with Ashley Benson and her husband Brandon Davis reportedly among the guests, according to TMZ.
